It's time to celebrate who we are and what we do!
The Dancing with the Arts annual Gala Fundraiser supports the Marblehead and Salem Arts Associations and will be held on March 26, 2010 at the Hawthorne Hotel.
We are happy to offer a taste of your talent again this year by featuring greeting or note cards of your artwork as table favors. If you would like to participate, please email Judy Beals jbeals1@comcast.net and/or drop off a dozen or more cards and envelopes or whatever you can give at the Arts Association in Marblehead or the Art Corner in Salem no later than Sunday, March 14.
The night will be one filled with fun, friends, dinner, dancing and a spectacular silent auction.
Click here for more information and to see a sampling of the sixty-plus silent auction items our guests will be bidding for.
The exhibit features the amusingly appetizing, temptingly tasty, deliciously flavorful theme-based collection by Charles Lang. Working in acrylics, Lang has focused on bananas engaged in their wild, whimsical escapades to create his contemporary, allegorical paintings, marrying his art with word play in his painting titles. The show will surely "appeel" to all ages. A Meet the Artist reception will take place on Thursday, March 11, 5-7pm at the Kensington/Stobart Gallery at the Hawthorne Hotel, on the Common, Salem, MA For more information, please call 978-825-0022. This event is free and open to the public.
Artist's Reception: Sunday, March 7th from 3-5pm at Gaga Gallery, 459 Humphrey Street, Swampscott.
Exhibit runs from March 3-21, 2010.

Isa Leshko is publishing a catalog of her Thrills & Chills images to accompany her upcoming solo exhibit at the Griffin Museum of Photography in April. The catalog, which will be released on March 29th, will be 32 pages long and will contain 19 images and accompanying text.
The Thrills & Chills catalog is her first publishing project. She printed it on an offset press for improved print quality and greater creative control. She collaborated on the catalog with her friend, graphic designer and SAA Member James Goncalves. For a sneak peak of the cover, check out the announcement page Isa set up on her web site.
She plans for the catalog to be the first of many publishing projects that will be produced by her new company, Exit 12 Press.
